I'm a telecommunications engineering student at UC3M in Madrid, working my way toward the infrastructure end of the field: networks, servers, and the systems that hold them together.

I started out in Havana, writing Python and Node backends for a startup, a software company and my university's programming department. That last one put me on a national distributed system running on Kubernetes, which is where infrastructure stopped being a subject and became the thing I actually wanted to do. I moved to Madrid on an international scholarship in 2023.

Since 2025 I've been at IMDEA Networks in Madrid, where that interest turned into research: first on privacy-preserving machine learning, and now on making commodity server hardware survive the radiation environment of low Earth orbit well enough to run a 5G base station from it.

Right now I'm most interested in cloud infrastructure, large scale networking and system reliability — and in reading good literature away from a screen.
